So last night Ricky and I decided to go to Beef O Brady's for dinner. It was just the two of us since Kenneth was at a meeting and Kristine had to work. We had been talking about going to eat there since neither of us had been in such a long time. I used to go all the time when I was younger because we would go after baseball games. Unfortunately, the one in St. Pete went out of business and Cici's Pizza moved in instead.
We knew we wanted to go, but we had to make sure it wasn't on a Tuesday (Kids eat free on Tuesdays at ours) so being that it was Thursday was perfect. As we pulled up we looked through the window and I think there might have been 5 other people in the restaurant. Needless to say, it was not too difficult to find a table.
So as we were eating, a lady came up to our table and asked if we were interested in playing trivia... Us? Trivia? Do you even need to ask? Of course we want to play... and if we're lucky, we will win. I mean really.. who has more useless knowledge than Ricky? So the game had 3 rounds each one getting harder and harder. The first two rounds, we got 2 wrong, so we had lost 6 points (each question in round 1 was 1 point, round 2 was 2 points), but to be honest, that's not that bad. The third round is what really got us. There were some questions that we just didn't know, so we were guessing... and guessing wrong. In the end, out of a possible 61 points, we scored 52. Since we weren't expecting to play trivia and we managed to get all but 9 points, I think we did fairly well. I think next time our whole house should go, because between the 4 of us, we should be able to get every question right.
All in all, dinner was great and considering we had a nice surprise with the trivia, it made for a very fun evening. Now we are just looking forward to this weekend and UCF Homecoming! Maybe we'll win a game... wouldn't that be a novel idea...
